while his loyal followers try to protect him from the enemy.

Meanwhile, Kalanos is informed that his brother, Yannis (played by Ali Semi Sefil),

has been captured by Osman’s ally, Princess Sofia (played by Aysegul Gunaydin), and her loyalists.

The scene then shifts to the present,

where Osman wakes up in a secret cave,

where he is being treated by Bala Hatun (played by Ozge Torer), his wife, and his trusted companions.

Osman is shocked to learn that his tribe has been attacked by the Byzantines,

who have used a new weapon, a cannon, to breach their fortress.

Osman realizes that his mission to unite the Turkish tribes against the Byzantine threat is more urgent than ever,

and he sets out to rally his allies and plan a counter-attack.

Meanwhile, Kalanos meets with his father, the Byzantine Emperor, and his sister,

Princess Irini (played by Nurettin Sonmez and Hazal Filiz Kucukkose),

and informs them of his plan to exchange Yannis for Sofia, whom he believes can lead him to Osman.

The emperor agrees to the deal,

but warns Kalanos that he must capture Osman alive and bring him to Constantinople,

where he will be executed publicly as a rebel and a heretic.

Back in the cave, Osman and his comrades are joined by Targun Hatun (played by Ceren Yilmaz),

the daughter of Sheikh Edebali (played by Tamer Yigit), and a fierce warrior in her own right.

Targun tells Osman that her father has had a vision of the future,

where Osman will be the founder of a great empire that will rule over many lands and peoples.

She also reveals that her father has given her a secret message for Osman,

which she cannot decipher but believes to be of great importance.

Osman and his allies then launch a daring raid on the Byzantine camp

, where Yannis is being held,

and manage to rescue Sofia and take Yannis captive. However, their victory is short-lived, as Kalanos ambushes them on their way back to their fortress and captures Osman, Bala, and Targun. Kalanos reveals his plan to execute Osman publicly and taunts him with his failures and weaknesses.
